One of science’s unfulfilled aspirations is nuclear fusion. The potential of that inexpensive, renewable, clean energy might completely alter the course of human history. But scientists haven’t yet unlocked that technology. And much more mistrust surrounds any claim that someone is “near” to cracking the code.
But that doesn’t exclude the rest of us from speculating about what nuclear fusion would enable. Neither is anybody restricted to only considering the greatest, most useful, and practical use for it.
A concept film demonstrates how this renewable energy may enable the construction of a massive floating sky hotel. With an aircraft that combined the opulence of a contemporary cruise ship with the extravagant spacecraft from WALL-E.
An enormous floating sky hotel airliner was the idea of Tony Holmsten, which Hashem Al-Ghaili brought to life in this animated film. This layout is excellent in every way. We mean it both in the best and worst possible ways.
Over 5000 people might stay in this nuclear-powered hotel while floating above the skies.
From a massive hull on board, they would have a 360-degree vision at their disposal. They may observe the stars or the aurora borealis up close there. The primary entertainment deck, which would include retail malls, sports facilities, swimming pools, restaurants, bars, playgrounds, theaters, and movie theaters, would be connected to that area via an elevator.
Additionally, viewing domes with balconies would offer some spectacular photo opportunities, whether you wanted to get married in the air or just take a lengthy vacation.
The thought that the hotel jet would never have to land is even more incredible. This is due to the fact that it would be powered by 20 electric engines that would only utilise nuclear energy.
A tiny nuclear reactor that relies on “well-regulated fusion reaction” to provide endless energy would be used to accomplish that.
The spacecraft would be able to fly for years without running out of fuel thanks to this. Visitors would board full-sized commercial aircraft that dock at the ship. Even turbulence wouldn’t be an issue! Artificial intelligence would be used by the sky hotel to forecast turbulence in the air.
Conclusion
Therefore, pure science fiction; at least right now. If humanity actually discovers how to harness nuclear fusion, perhaps this spacecraft will eventually take flight. But if it does, we hope that mankind will first employ the technology to address issues that exist now. Not a “how-to,” WALL-E is a warning.
