Microsoft Bing Web Search Engine: Tests Ads Tab under Search Bar

Microsoft Bing is a web search engine owned and operated by Microsoft Corporation. Bing provides a variety of services which includes web search, video, images, shopping, map and many more.

Now Bing seems testing an “ADS” tab under the search bar, where featured services like images, videos, maps, news, shopping, and more options are available.

This seems out of context but this business is full of possibilities and testing interesting tasks. This webpage or you can say tab only shows you ads from Microsoft Advertising if any are available.

How does it work?

A search on [CountSount] generated this URL when you click on the ads tab; https://www.bing.com/moreads?q=countsount&scope=ads&FORM=ADS123notice the “moreads” URL and then the “score=ads” parameter.

Although there are some confusing results which may not be appealing for a particular result if no ads are available then it shows the ADS tab options and shows the result as “No result found”.

And if there are ads, the user will be able to find all the ads associated with the keywords.

Conclusion

At last, the feature is just implemented and not available to all the users. So, I hope all the limitations for web crawling and results will be improved. But it raises the question “Why would someone go to this Tab to see Advertisements?” till all questions are cleared let’s hope for some exciting features to be rolled out soon by Bing.
